Janelle Salapich

Janelle is a senior majoring in Environmental Science with a minor in Wetland Sciences. She is also a member of the Virginia Tech soil judging club/team.

Janelle began working in the Forest Hydrology Lab in October of 2014 and loves the hands-on training she receives in her role as a lab and field technician.

Born in Colorado, but a native of Great Falls, MT, Janelle has a natural love and interest in the environmental sciences. She loves hiking, camping, kayaking and many other outdoor activities.  Her love for the outdoors inspired her to make people more aware of their carbon footprint on this planet and to stay involved with local and state government issues.  She hopes to help society move toward sustainability, for the betterment of everyone on the planet.
